The Bottleworks Hotel

If you’re in the market for a hotel, there’s one on every corner. If you’re looking for an experience, there’s the Bottleworks Hotel. I cannot say enough good things about this new downtown Indianapolis hotspot. I thought long and hard how to write this blog post to best explain how much I enjoyed my stay at the Bottleworks. I can only do so much with words so my best advice is to see for yourself! I can promise you won’t be sorry.

Why is the Bottleworks Hotel Special?

Well first, the back story. The Bottleworks Hotel is in the heart of what is now the Bottleworks District. Built in 1931, the building the hotel redesigned was once the largest Coca Cola Bottling Plant in the world. As you explore the building, you can admire all the different ways the new hotel has maintained the old history. It’s in the design and architecture, it’s in the artwork, and it’s even in the atmosphere. The Hotel is home to 140 spacious and well designed rooms, several event spaces you can reserve, restaurants, entertainment, shops, and even a nail shop. Yes, it is a lot!

Here are just a few of my favorite things:

  • The friendly staff – I still remember the name of every person that helped us during our stay. That’s how much of an impact they made on us.
  • The smell in the air – This is one of those I can’t explain. But there’s a very unique and inviting smell going through the whole Hotel. It’s like being at Disney where the smell is part of the experience!
  • The $45 a night valet parking – Maybe it’s just my experience, but valet parking has always been super expensive and this felt like a great deal.
  • The Artwork – Check out the pictures to see what I mean but the Bottleworks Hotel is defined by the artwork hung throughout its walls. The images are inclusive of so many different people.

The Bottleworks District

The coolest thing about the beautiful Bottleworks Hotel is that it is a part of something bigger, the District. Just steps from the hotel and in some cases even right inside the hotel, you can find so much to do. The Garage Food Hall is a major attraction with 25+ food vendors of local and international flavors blended into one space. I could have lunch there everyday! Just across the street, you’ll find the Living Room Theaters and Pins Mechanical, where you can enjoy a movie or classic games like duckpin bowling. For a complete itinerary, stop and get your nails done at the W Nail Bar! They use only natural products, which is a rare find.

Visit Indy: Location, Location, Location

Finally, the Bottleworks Hotel is all about location! It is literally in the heart of everything. At the top point of Mass Ave, you have access to all of the restaurants and shops the area has to offer. And within just a few minutes, you’re in Fountain Square or at the Canal. We had a great time exploring some of our favorite places, including the FlatIron, Milktooth for brunch, Gordon’s Milkshake Bar, and Penn & Beech Candle Co. to pour our own candles. To say the least, we will be back at the Bottleworks Hotel to enjoy everything the District has to offer!
